For the Love of Romance is the diary of a time travelling singleton; a collection of fictionalised observations, based on historical anecdotes form entries in her diary. Here she reflects on the rich and often bizarre history of human partner-finding practises, within the context of the arguably strange reality of nding love in the Western world today.
Including ancient marital contract refunds, pieces of apple stored in armpits, severed heads, fat farms and virtual dating, this pocket-sized book shines a light on some of these behaviours, offering hope to today’s jaded daters.
For the Love of Romance was one of my graduation projects at the Design Academy Eindhoven.
