This publication is the result of a subcultures research project, with a focus on the the Straight Edge facet of Hardcore Punk. It looks at how the 80s subculture is still relevant today; Straight Edge was founded around choosing a alcohol and drug free lifestyle. This is still appealing to many people today, expanding well beyond the hardcore punk scene. The book includes a history of the movement, essays and interviews.
